How to Setup the WHMCS Cron Job<\/h1>\n

You will need to configure the cron job as soon as you finish installing WHMCS.<\/a> The cron job executes WHMCS’s automation tasks, like generating renewal invoices and sending payment reminders.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Set Up the Cron Job<\/h2>\n

To set up the cron job in cPanel:<\/p>\n

1. Log in to the cPanel account that hosts your WHMCS installation.<\/p>\n

2. Go to\u00a0Advanced >> Cron Jobs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3. Select\u00a0Once Per Five Minutes<\/em>\u00a0for\u00a0Common Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

WHMCS only requires one cron job for automation. We recommend running it every 5 minutes, but, if your host does not allow that frequency, you\u00a0must<\/strong>\u00a0run it at least once per hour.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

4. For\u00a0Command<\/strong>, enter the cron job command that you received during the installation process.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

If you didn’t note the cron job command during installation, you can find it within your WHMCS Administration Area.<\/p>\n

To do this:<\/p>\n

1. In the WHMCS Admin Area, go to\u00a0Utilities > Automation Status<\/strong>\u00a0(Setup > Automation Settings<\/strong>\u00a0prior to WHMCS 8.0).<\/p>\n

2. Click the top-left badge under the\u00a0Automation Status<\/strong>\u00a0heading.<\/p>\n
