How to Translate Product Names and Descriptions<\/h1>\n

You can translate product names and descriptions into multiple languages using the\u00a0Dynamic Field Translations<\/strong>\u00a0feature. If a product translation is available for the language the client chooses, they will see that translation when viewing the product.<\/p>\n

The available languages are based on the language files in the\u00a0\/lang\/<\/code>\u00a0directory.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Enable Translations<\/h2>\n

To use this feature, enable\u00a0Dynamic Field Translations<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0Localisation<\/strong>\u00a0tab at\u00a0Configuration > System Settings > General Settings\u00a0<\/strong>(prior to WHMCS 8.0,\u00a0Setup > General Settings<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Add Translations to Products<\/h2>\n

To add a translation to a product:<\/p>\n

1. Go to\u00a0Configuration > System Settings > Products\/Services<\/strong>\u00a0(prior to WHMCS 8.0,\u00a0Setup > Products\/Services > Products\/Services<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

2. Click the\u00a0Edit<\/strong>\u00a0icon next to the desired product.<\/p>\n

3. Click\u00a0Translate<\/strong>\u00a0for the desired product attribute (for example,\u00a0Product Name<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

4. Enter your translations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The\u00a0Default Value<\/strong>\u00a0text will display to customers if they are viewing your shopping cart in the system\u00a0default language\u00a0or if no translation exists for their chosen language.<\/p>\n

6. Repeat this step for each field that you want to translate.<\/p>\n
