In some jurisdictions, you may need to fix the client’s name, address, and tax ID to the values that existed when WHMCS generated the invoice. In these cases, subsequent changes to the client’s profile data must not affect existing invoices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

To fix client data to its state at invoice generation:<\/p>\n

  1. Go to\u00a0Configuration > System Settings > General Settings<\/strong>. or, prior to WHMCS 8.0,\u00a0Setup > General Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Choose the\u00a0Invoices<\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/li>\n
  3. Check\u00a0Store Client Data Snapshot<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Click\u00a0Save Changes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After you do this, invoices will always use the client data that was present at invoice generation and will not change if you change the client’s data.
