The system is unexpectedly suspending services (for example, hosting accounts).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Causes<\/h2>\n
\n
\n

The system may suspend services for the following reasons:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The service’s\u00a0Next Due Date<\/strong>\u00a0value is far enough in the past to trigger the\u00a0Overdue Suspension<\/strong>\u00a0function.<\/li>\n
  2. An admin clicked\u00a0Suspend<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0Module Commands<\/strong>\u00a0section for the service.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
    \n

    Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n

    \n

    All module actions, including suspension, create an entry in the\u00a0Activity Log<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0Configuration > System Logs<\/strong>. Review the log entries at the time of suspension to identify the cause.<\/p>\n

    If there is not an entry in the\u00a0Activity Log\u00a0<\/strong>at\u00a0Configuration > System Logs<\/strong>, the current WHMCS installation did\u00a0not\u00a0<\/strong>perform the suspension. Check for previous installations of WHMCS or actions that occurred directly on the hosting server.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Overdue Suspension<\/h3>\n

    \n

    If the suspension is because the service is overdue, you will see the following log entry:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Cron Job: Suspending Service - Service ID: x\r\n...\r\nAutomated Task: Starting Overdue Suspensions<\/code><\/pre>\n
    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    To address this:<\/p>\n
      \n
    1. Go to\u00a0Configuration > System Settings >\u00a0<\/strong>Automation Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. Increase the\u00a0Suspension<\/strong>\u00a0Days<\/strong>\u00a0value.<\/li>\n
    3. Click\u00a0Save Changes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      This will increase the time before the system suspends overdue services.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

      Admin Suspension<\/h3>\n

      \n
      If the suspension is because an admin suspended the service, you will see the following log entry:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

      Module Suspend Successful - Service ID: x<\/code><\/pre>\n

      This entry indicates that an admin clicked\u00a0Suspend<\/strong>\u00a0under the\u00a0Module Commands<\/strong>\u00a0section in the\u00a0Products\/Services<\/strong>\u00a0tab of the client’s profile.<\/p>\n
      You can review the\u00a0User<\/strong>\u00a0column for the log entry to determine which admin performed the action.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
