How to Create Your First Non-Hosting Product<\/h1>\n

To sell something using WHMCS, you need to configure a product.<\/p>\n

Other<\/strong>\u00a0(non-hosting) products provision any non-hosting product (for example, software licensing or design services).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Create a Non-Hosting Product<\/h2>\n

To create a non-hosting product:<\/p>\n

1. Go to\u00a0Configuration > System Settings > Products\/Services\u00a0<\/strong>(Setup > Products\/Services > Products\/Services\u00a0<\/strong>in WHMCS 7.10 and earlier).<\/p>\n

2. Click\u00a0Create a New Product<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3. Choose\u00a0Other\u00a0<\/strong>for\u00a0Product Type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

4. Choose the desired product group.<\/p>\n

5. Enter a name for the product.<\/p>\n

6. If you already know the module you want to use, select it for\u00a0Module<\/strong>. This example creates a website plan and will use the\u00a0Auto Release<\/strong>\u00a0module.<\/p>\n

7. Click\u00a0Continue<\/strong>. A new page will appear.<\/p>\n

8. In the\u00a0Details\u00a0<\/strong>tab, set the\u00a0Product Description<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

9. Select a\u00a0Welcome Email\u00a0<\/strong>to send when provisioning the product.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

WHMCS comes with several pre-made welcome email templates that you can customize at\u00a0Configuration > System Settings > Email Templates\u00a0<\/strong>(Setup > Email Templates\u00a0<\/strong>in WHMCS 7.10 and earlier).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

10. Select a\u00a0Welcome Email\u00a0<\/strong>to send when provisioning the product.<\/p>\n

11. In the\u00a0Pricing\u00a0<\/strong>tab, set the desired pricing options for the product.<\/p>\n

To do this, select\u00a0Recurring\u00a0<\/strong>as the\u00a0Payment Type<\/strong>, and then specify the desired monthly prices. You can also enter a\u00a0Setup Fee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For this example, the product will only be available on a monthly basis.<\/p>\n

You can set up as many pricing options as you wish during this step.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

12. In the\u00a0Module Settings\u00a0<\/strong>tab, choose the module. In this example,\u00a0Auto Release\u00a0<\/strong>is preselected because it was chosen in an earlier step.<\/p>\n

13. Specify the actions for the module. In this example, the system will automatically open a Support Ticket for any of the listed actions.<\/p>\n

14. Select the automatic setup behavior at the bottom of the tab.<\/p>\n
