To include wildcard domains, please make sure to choose first the dns-01 validation method.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Add cPanel subdomains?<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0 to select some additional cPanel subdomains*. This is optional and it\u2019s not a mandatory checkbox.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>cPanel subdomains are those such as\u00a0<em>cpanel. <\/em>and\u00a0<em>webmail. <\/em>, which when added, allow access to cPanel services via that subdomain.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4: Choose SSL Validation Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HTTP Validation (http-01)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0You will usually want to use the HTTP validation method.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DNS Validation (dns-01)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 If your domain\u2019s nameservers point to cPanel, then you have the option of using the DNS validation method instead.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11697 size-full aligncenter\" title=\"wildcard-validation\" src=\"https:\/\/www.webystrata.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wildcard-validation.webp\" alt=\"wildcard-validation\" width=\"1789\" height=\"899\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.webystrata.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wildcard-validation.webp 1789w, https:\/\/www.webystrata.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wildcard-validation-300x151.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.webystrata.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wildcard-validation-1024x515.webp 1024w, https:\/\/www.webystrata.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wildcard-validation-768x386.webp 768w, https:\/\/www.webystrata.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wildcard-validation-1536x772.webp 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1789px) 100vw, 1789px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Wildcard SSL certificates require DNS validation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5: Click On Issue<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After selecting the preferred validation method, click on the <strong data-start=\"2709\" data-end=\"2718\">Issue<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p>Once the process is completed, the Let\u2019s Encrypt SSL certificate will be automatically installed on your domain.
