\nHow to Create a Package within WHM<\/h1>\n

A package specifies several different values for a cPanel<\/a> account. For example, you could offer a \u201cpower\u201d package that includes 5 addon domains while you have a \u201cpro\u201d package that includes 16 addon domains. When creating new cPanel<\/a> accounts, you can assign specific packages to each cPanel account.<\/p>\n

This helps to not only speed up the cPanel<\/a> account creation process, but it also helps with updating several accounts at once. If you have 20 accounts on one package, modifying a setting for the package itself will apply the setting to all accounts assigned to that package.<\/p>\n

This article pertains to WHM, a feature only available to\u00a0VPS Hosting,\u00a0Dedicated Hosting, and\u00a0Reseller Hosting\u00a0users.\u00a0Shared Hosting\u00a0users do not have WHM access. Visit our page for more information on\u00a0Shared cPanel Hosting.<\/a><\/p>\n

To create a package:<\/h2>\n

  1. Log into your WHM<\/li>\n
  2. Click \u201cAdd a Package\u201d under the \u201cPackages\u201d heading in the left menu<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    On the following page:<\/p>\n

    • Specify a package name<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Resources<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Define how many of each item the package offers. Enter \u201cunlimited\u201d (without the quotes) to allow an unlimited number, 0 to not allow any, or a specific number.\n

              • If you have any available dedicated IP addresses on your server and you would like this package to include a dedicated IP address, select that option.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
              • Select Options\n

                • Decide whether or not this account should have ssh access, Frontpage Extensions installed by default, and if they should have CGI Access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                • cPanel Theme\n

                  • Choose the cPanel theme to use. InMotion Hosting currently users x3.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                  • Feature List\n
                      \n
                    • Select which feature list to assign to the account. Feature lists specify which cPanel features are available to the user, and are managed within the \u201cFeature Manager\u201d in WHM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                    • Locale\n

                      • Select which language to assign to the cPanel accounts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                        When complete, click \u201cAdd<\/strong>\u201d at the bottom of the page to create the package.<\/p>\n
